Clearly this is not the solution. But it seeks to be a clue.
I saw several queries in the forum, and they also confused me and made me suspect that the service was down.

Answer and clues:
1. - The service is up and running.
2. - error: unreachable, that error is fine.
3. - error: connection timed out, I did not have it but it is also good.
4. - All connection error, it took me a while and again to read and rethink dns. And one ends by consulting "man" to reread information about how a command works. And it was magical I could solve it.
