Cracking

Hello.

I just did this challenge without executing the file. However I can’t execute the file ./ch1.bin (says no file or repertory of this name), and I don’t understand why since file ch1.bin says is an executable.

I also tried source ch1.bin but it didn’t work as well.

Anyone got an idea of how to execute it ?

Hi Chausse,

You need to have the different libraries for the corresponding architecture. Here I’m pretty sure you need to install the libc 32bit.

Additionally to what Tie21 said, you also need to set the executable bit permission for this file to execute it.
You can do this with: chmod +x ch1.bin

I can help you more by DM if you want but first you can try launch the .bin on terminal (./ch1.bin) and found the psw with another soft
