App - Script

I’m looking for an old solution to an App Script challenge I read a while ago, where the challenger used a C script to invoke a shell as root. I *think* it was on the LaTeX 2 challenge, but I can’t find it there, nor anywhere else. Do mods change solutions over time, or am I just blind? If anyone finds it please tell me where it is!
