Does it still work? I found the key and deciphered the content.
I tried both the key and the deciphered message as solution but they don’t work.
Am I missing something?

is the key some kinf of a passphrase or is it composed of random characters?

And wondering if the challenge is broken - The key is for something else. There is more to do :)

But it doesn’t validate : "a......e"
Is there another step ?
