It is too fast to listen to audio file. So I changed slow speed with the audacity.
Then I could hear some words. But it is not either English or French.
Am I on a wrong direction ?

Hi,
It is spelled in french, but I think even english users should be able to understand what is said, as it is neither a french nor an english word we are looking for.

Hope that helps :)

Here’s a little help for the non-french speakers: first he says the password, then he spells it out and then he says goodbye.

I’ve done the same thing, as ky0uj1 noted. But still.. I have listened to it over 100 times and I’m unable to comprehend it.

Hey all, so I edited the sound with some software, I don’t know if I am allowed to say what I have done to the sound and with what software...
I am French so I understand perfectly what is saying although, all uppercase no way to successfully validate this challenge.
I think I need some guidance.

The attack (start) of the sample is quite smooth, so don’t let it fool you to much, relating to your idea of the first consonant. Hear it and then listen to the spelling!
Furthermore, as already mentioned, it’s no real french word or a word of daily basis at all, but you definetly have heard it, if you’re not under 20 years old.

Non french, no english speaking user, can’t understand anything. Tried several services with voice recognition, changed speed, no luck.

Finally I completed it. I played it at very slow speed. Little I could understand but not enough. So I searched French Alphabets And listened them.  😄 And that really helped.  😎

I feel like I got a completely different audio file... After some editing I heard a sequence of letters and numbers spoken with a British accent... but the password doesn’t seem to work (and yes I put it in lowercase)! The audio file I downloaded from the challenge was called "ch3.wav". I did not hear anything that sounded like French...

As our community comes all over the world, we decided to update the challenge so it can be flagged more easily by non French speakers.

OK, I got the pass but it does not pass the challenge. Is the answer corrected after the wav file was changed?

The pass does work, try to listen the second segment. The first segment seems to miss half of a letter and it’s hard to understand properly.

That make sense 🙂 I was wondering why the pass is recorded twice. I didn’t notice the difference.

Can anyone give some suggestions on what program to use to slow it down and change the pitch to match an average human?

I’m not getting anything out of the audio. The sound is too shrill even after slowing down the tempo to minimal values. Any suggestions on how to handle this shrill audio, like for clearing it and stuff ?

DIAVEL, slowing down the audio file is not enough. You have to do another thing after that.
