I’m confused. I got the X passwords no problem, [Th1b4ud : spoil], so I know i was on the right track.

Once I had a potential password in mind, I’d go to md5hashgenerator.com and enter the plaintext string in the text box and convert it. Then I’d compare it against the hash in the config file here:

[Th1b4ud : spoil]

They looked nothing alike. For example, the md5 hash of the correect answer (according to my method) is 17ce77827f82aae014ccc04006f323f6 which is obviously not the hashed password shown in the config file. Was I missing a step somewhere?

Maybe because it’s the wrong hash algorithm no ? What’s the title of the challenge ? MD5 ?
