Network DNA ZONE Transfer

Based on the previous posts, it seems that the server: "ch11.challenge01.root-me.org" is down. However, what confuses me is that in the challenge it first mentions that server and then proceeds to mention this server: challenge01.root-me.org; therefore, I wondering if anyone has an idea which server is the right one for this challenge.

Yo, hildy. Tell me, you use nslookup or dig? Well, i guess first thing first you need a linux. Today i’m trying do it on ubuntu and use dig, cause on windows (i guess) something blocked my request. I had tried another dns, but for sure i do something wrong. Anyway, what you used and what are you do?

I’m on ubuntu and have used both commands; however, in seems that this server ch11.challenge01.root-me.org is down and if that is the server where the answer is, then  🙄

The domain you’re attempting to do a zone transfer for is ch11.challenge01.root-me.org. The machine you’re attempting to do a zone transfer on is challenge01.root-me.org. Hope that helps clear up some of the confusion.
