It appears that we can only see solutions to challenges once we have already solved them - This means the only people who can see a solution that I wrote are the people who don’t need it because they already solved the challenge. Is this right?

What are the solutions there for? Just for bragging rights?

As there is not only one solution for a challenge, solution publication is here to share your knowledges and allow other people to learn new technics :)
