App - Script

I’m about to do my first challenge but have some problems.

When I try this link ssh://app-script-ch1:app-script-ch1@challenge02.root-me.org:2222 and open the Terminal it says connection refused. I don’t know if this is a part of the challenge or what ?

same here, connection refused... Is there a problem with the server?

I’ve been having some problems getting connected to the servers too. Your best bet is going to be connect through the HTTP service and use the webSSH client.

I got connection refused as I had changed IP but it was OK once I re-logged in.
Perhaps it has a firewall based on the IP you login from..?

In order to access to the challenges’ machines, you must be authenticated to the portal www.root-me.org. Once you are authenticated, your IP address will be allowed by the firewall. You have to use the same IP address for your authentication and for challenges.
Don’t forget that Root-Me’s SSH services dont work on port 22. You must give the right port when you connect.
Use the Services state page to be informed of the state of each service and if your IP address is allowed to access it.
