App - Script

Hello, everyone!

I have managed to reach ch14-3 but I am stuck! No idea on how to get to the next level using the tool available on sudo -l.

Can any1 give me any hint? *no spoliers please*

This one’s rough eh???

I’m also stalled at ch14-3—I assumed the exploit necessary would be something similar to the previous one, but I couldn’t find an option that works to my advantage. The website for that utility lists some known vulnerabilities for an older version, but nothing for the version we’re given. Still investigating this one. But this challenge has been the most satisfying and educational of the App Script challenges I’ve done thus far.

I was stuck on this for quite some time too. I would suggest a thorough read of the man pages for the command available through sudo at level 3, the information you need is in there.

P.S. Agree that this is a really fun challenge to work through, my favourite level so far is ch14-6 made me smile when I got privilege escalation on that one (am currently working on ch14-8).
There is a common theme running through all the levels of the challenge so stick with it, I found it got easier as I went along as the earlier levels taught me what to look for.
Great challenge, hope to complete it today.
