Questions

Im not sure if this is the right place to post this or not, but I am after some general advice. If it isnt... then I apologise and please point me in the right direction!

Im after some advice, ive been stumped by something. I have an Ubuntu 9.04 virtual machine, no updates. I have bridged the network card and I am trying to determine its open ports using NMAP, all coming back as filtered even if the UFW is off. It has connectivity to the web etc. I have tried several LAN scanning techniques, UDP, ARP, No Ping etc... and it comes back the same everytime. I have spent the last few days trying to find a solution, but to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
